Marketing: Take a hint from NASCAR drivers

Have you ever wondered about your marketing and why it might not be working like you hoped? The answer may be in your mirror. Does your attire advertise your business? Here are some very inexpensive ways to improve your marketing efforts and improve your bottom line.

  1. Shirts: Place your business logo on the front of your shirts. You can go to any hobbie and craft store, purchase shirts and heat-applied paper to place your logo on.
  2. Hats: Apply your logo to a hat.
  3. Pens and Pencils: How many times has someone asked to borrow a pen or pencil? On the up-side you do not worry about having the pen or pencil returned.
  4. Business Cards: You should always have at least 10 – 15 available to give to people.
  5. Jackets and Hoodies: Place your logo on the back so everyone can see your business from afar.
  6. Bumper Stickers: Let the people who are following you know about your business.
  7. Website: Get a website up and running with at least your organization’s basic contact information. People will see your URL on your “gear” and visit your website.

These are just a few suggestions to increase your marketing effor. Check with your Accountant, because these ideas may also be itemized as expenses. Marketing is about raising interest in your product or service. Raising interest in your service or product may not result in a primary sale; however, if you market your business right you can obtain referals.
